Here are the frequently asked questions that we have compiled to help you find out more about Aurora The Van.

 

What's included in the hire?

The daily rate includes full use of Aurora with an average of 200 kilometres per day, cooking equipment, bedding and outdoor chairs and everything else you see on this website. Everything you need to hit the road! Additional kilometres are charged at $1 per 10 kilometres.

Is there a minimum hire?

Yes, the minimum hire is 7 days. During peak seasons or public holidays, longer minimum hires may apply. If you want to hire Aurora for a shorter duration, higher daily rates will apply and you'll need to contact us directly so we can make a custom calendar setting. If you want to hire Aurora for 6 weeks or longer, get in touch with us for long term rates.

What license do I need to drive Aurora?

You’ll need a full, valid driver’s license (Australian or international) and must be at least 25 years old.

Is insurance included?

You will need to establish your level of insurance at the booking stage through the Camplify website.

Is Aurora pet friendly?

Aurora is dog friendly, so your well behaved furry companion is more than welcome to join the adventure. Just let us know in advance and we’ll include dog bowls and long leads to make their stay as comfortable as yours.

Can I take Aurora off-road or on the beach?

No — Aurora is a 2WD van and must stay on sealed roads at all times. Driving on beaches, unsealed tracks, or off-road terrain is not permitted. If there is evidence that Aurora has been taken off road, you may be charged a fee to cover the cost of placing the vehicle on a hoist for a chassis inspection, as well as any damage that may have occurred.

Do I need to clean the van before returning to homebase?

Yes, we ask that you return Aurora in a clean condition, similar to how she was when you picked her up. A cleaning fee may otherwise apply.

What happens if I break down or have an issue on the road?

Aurora is covered by NRMA roadside assistance for your peace of mind. Just call the number provided in the welcome pack and help will be on the way.

How do I book and is a deposit required?

Booking is simple through the Camplify website. A deposit is required to secure your dates with full payment due before pickup.

Can I cancel or change my booking?

Yes, cancellation and change policies are outlined in Camplify's Terms and Conditions. We offer flexible options depending on how far in advance you cancel.

Where do I pick up and return Aurora?

Pickup and drop off is from the eastern suburbs of Sydney. We’ll arrange a time that works for both of us and give you a full walk through of the van at handover. There will also be a second walk through on return to ensure nothing is damaged or missing.
